Paco Origin
January 2018-March 2020
After the loss of Roy, The Graysin Slade Band was once again sidelined, but little did they know the missing piece of the puzzle was dusting himself off after a 30 year break from rock n' roll. This man was learning how to control his powers that converts all he consumes into raw drumming power. As soon as Roy left Graysin refused to give up. He put out the call for a new drummer and very soon he had a young drummer try out, but of course building a band is never that easy.
The young drummer never came back and it looked as if Graysin was going to take another back seat or who knows how long this time. But then, in January 2018 the final piece, John Paco, came to join Graysin. The band was finally complete and The Graysin Slade Band was reborn.
A few weeks after John had joined it was time for a test in Graysin Slade fashion. Dean had a lead on a show from a friend and Graysin presented it to John to see what he would say. Would he back down like so many others did? Or would he be fearless? This was when we knew John was the right drummer for The Graysin Slade Band. John didn't hesitate. Ready or not he was going to rock the stage again.
On March 17, 2018 Graysin Slade re-debuted at Texas Ice Service in San Antonio, Texas. We didn't have many songs so we played the set two or three times and people loved it! Nerves were high as this was Graysin's first official front man show, Dean's first band gig where he wasn't sick, and John's first gig in 30 years.
